Here's to 80 years, Grandpa!

This past August, we had a birthday celebration for my Grandpa! We had a fun little party in his neighborhood park with his family and friends.  It was an honor to celebrate such a great man and the life that he is living being faithful to the Lord. Love you, Grandpa!

Okay so I forgot a few more summer events... we had a busy summer. So theres a few more things I want to blog about so I can always look back and remember all the fun times we had during our last summer in Oklahoma.  

Carson turned 6 this summer and was very disappointed that "Jermy" would be out of town for his party. I swear my cousins like my husband more than me... he plays drums and has an Xbox after all. So to make it up to him we took him out to lunch all by himself (he did not want his brother there. We still owe Aden a lunch, oops!).  He picked Buffalo Wild Wings and the mall for a cookie. We had a fun time celebrating 6 years of one of the best little guys in the world!

Puerto Rico part 2

Here's a few more pictures from our trip to PR this summer. We have way too many to post so I just chose a few favorites.

 ^^^this is seconds after us getting blasted with a huge wave and soaking the bottom half of our dresses. Well the bottom half of mine. Alyssa's height gave her an advantage and only barely got her's wet.  But our legs were nice and salty/sandy for dinner that evening.^^^

Very thankful for this friendship that has lasted almost 12 years, and has now made our husbands friends as well!

Finally i'm all caught up on our major events from the summer! Here are just a few random pictures from our summer that haven't made it to the blog yet.  We had a wonderful summer full of fun, trips, food, friends, swimming, and family! Blogging has caused me to slow down a little each time I sit down to write a new post and realize just how good life really is.  God is so overwhelmingly gracious by allowing us to enjoy all of life's little pleasures. Blessed is such an understatement. My heart is full of thankfulness.
