some more NYC pictures

Here are some favorites from our second and third day in the city a few months ago.  We tried Shake Shack for the first time, and let me tell you, I still have dreams about that food.  The burgers were so juicy, amazing cheese fries, and the best chocolate shake ever! Definitely glad we tried it.

Then we spent the rest of the day walking through Central Park. It should be on everyone's bucket list to see Central Park in the Fall.  It is breath-taking! The colors are so vibrant, and the crisp autumn air makes you feel like you're in a movie. Happy to check that off my list of things to see before I die. I just love New York so much.

We stayed at The Hotel Wolcott and it is so beautiful! The rooms are tiny, but we loved it.  It sits in the shadow of the Empire State Building, and the architecture is gorgeous.  It is a 100 year old hotel that still has all of its original architecture and beauty on the outside and the inside.  It was hard to get very good pictures, so these do not do it justice, but if you ever wanna stay somewhere outside of the usual hotel chains, check this place out!

That night we started with dessert at Ellen's Stardust Diner.  Another place everyone should go at least once! The wait staff there are all Broadway actors and actresses whose shows aren't currently running.  They sing and dance to famous Broadway songs randomly throughout the restaurant, such a fun atmosphere! If you do plan to go here, make sure you're prepared to stand in line for a LONG time--totally worth it.

^^^excuse the blurriness... our waiter was a little fast when snapping the pic^^^

Next was walking past NBC studios and stopping at Rockefeller Plaza to see the giant Christmas tree just starting to be set up.  We were going to ice skate, but it was way too cold and way too busy for something we were only doing to say we did it.  Maybe next time. Have I said yet how much I love NYC?

Next we went to Madison Square Garden, but we couldn't get in very far because a concert was happening that night.  We got to walk through the front area and see some of the Rangers stuff--thats the only reason Jeremy wanted to go anyways.  Then walked across the street to Lids and got some new hats.  Then grabbed some dinner--pizza from a little stand, that was amazing. (Jeremy picked this particular part of the evening, can you tell?)

And no trip to New York is complete without a hotdog from a street cart. So this was a little snack before heading back to the hotel.

The next morning we stopped inside the Empire State Building to snap a picture, then headed for the airport.  Leaving New York is always the saddest feeling.  Can't wait to get back there!

^^^then Jeremy got a nose bleed on the last flight of the day:) ^^^
